The Inman Park Spring Festival, Sat 4/25 & Sun 4/26 11am-7pm, hosts one of the largest arts & crafts markets in Atlanta, live bands, food & beverages & the funkiest parade in town. I had a great view as they marched by my tent on Edgewood.
My dear friend (& Mother-in-law)Beckiflew in from Cape May, N.J. to help, hang out & stimulate the economy - thank you! Special thanks also to Tony & Nigel for lending their muscle, I couldn't have done it without them (hey guys, I have another event this weekend...)
I create eco-friendly, mixed media canvas & furniture w/whimsical, spiritual, sensual, musical & global themes. In an effort to help preserve Mother Earth I use non-toxic acrylic paints, magazine collage' & an eclectic array of objects previously intended for other projects. I participate in arts festivals, paint by commission & my work can be found in unique stores & galleries throughout Atlanta. I pay it forward by volunteering for the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta. The Furniture Bank provides essential household furnishings to families transitioning out of homelessness, people living with HIV/AIDS, refugees & immigrants, women fleeing domestic violence, survivors of natural disasters, & children moving out of foster care. Their annual fundraiser, Chairish the Future, features one of a kind art chairs which are auctioned at the gala. In addition to serving on the Chairish committee I also participate as an artist.
